Your Partner Has A Lot Of Flaws, But So Do You

Ask me what my husband does wrong and I can give you a whole list. I know, I know, it sounds horrible. But, we all have “the list.” Maybe your partner doesn’t put the toothpaste cap back on, hates something you love, or maybe they always seem to miss the laundry hamper. We’ve all been there, shaking our heads, ready to call it quits over a lone sock on the ground. And if you haven’t, you probably haven’t been with your partner long enough.

Here’s the thing: People are messy. I mean that literally, but also figuratively. Everyone is different and we’re all a bit complicated. We watch our partners do these little things that we hate so much and we begin to wonder how in the world we’ll continue to live the rest of our lives with them. There’s no way we can live with someone so flawed. Even though we know that none of us can reach perfection, somehow, our partner is far more less-than-perfect than everyone else. So, what’s their deal?

One of my husband’s flaws is that he’s late for everything. And I mean everything. Doesn’t matter if it’s something at dawn or dusk, the man can never be on time. To make matters worse, he also takes wrong turns because he goes into autopilot mode and forgets that he’s not going to work, which makes us even later.
